So what does it take to become a company that workers want to be part of? Inc. magazine says it’s more than good pay and good perks – it’s also about having a clear purpose, a sense of humor, and leadership that makes them all work together.

“3 years ago we set out to create a workplace that was unlike anywhere we had ever worked. We were inspired by progressive companies much larger than us that were changing the workplace environment such as Google, Facebook and Netflix,” says Smastech Co-Founder Omar Imani

“But where we really found inspiration is our desire to give our top level talent an environment that will foster collaboration and innovation. Yes, we offer perks—but most importantly, we created a work environment that doesn’t actually feel like work. I think what really makes a big difference is that my brother Omar and I constantly share our goals and empower the team to do what was best for the company. We want everyone to treat the organization like it’s their own…” Smastech Co-Founder Anwar Husain adds.

It’s been an eventful few years. Without our amazing team, their mindset and dedication, we would not be where we are today. But as we always say…we’re only 1% done. We’re excited for the years to come.
